About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our expanding Actuarial team, based in Worcester, MA; Windsor, CT; or remotely. This role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable data management and ETL systems that support Hanover’s Core Commercial and Specialty businesses. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, build reliable pipelines, and ensure high-quality data delivery across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management and warehouse solutions
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture data needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Build robust data pipelines from various sources for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Support data integration efforts across cross-functional teams

What You Need To Apply

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong programming skills in Python and proficient in SQL
  • Experience developing and optimizing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure services
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (citizen or green card holder)
