Job summary

Brightli in St. Charles, MO is seeking an Associate Counselor to support assessment, treatment planning, and counseling for clients in mental health and substance use disorder programs.

Under supervision, you will assist with screenings, develop treatment plans, facilitate group sessions, document services, and collaborate with the treatment team to promote recovery and ethical care. A license in MAADC, CADC, or CRADC is required along with an associate degree or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must hold one of MAADC I or II, CADC, or CRADC licenses.
• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.
• Trainee meeting registration, supervision, and professional development requirements per Missouri boards.
• Associate Counselors must be supervised by a Qualified Addiction Professional with MC Clinical Supervision Training.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group counseling and individual sessions focused on recovery and decision-making.
• Participate in client screenings and assessments under supervision.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Contribute to clinical staffing and treatment team meetings.
• Build professional relationships with clients, referral sources, and staff.
• Respond to crisis situations per agency procedures.
• Document services accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate commitment to ethical practices and company goals.
