Burrell Behavioral Health in Saint Charles, MO is seeking an Associate Counselor to support screening, assessment, treatment planning, and counseling for clients with mental health and substance use disorders.

Under supervision of licensed clinicians, you will conduct screenings, develop treatment plans, facilitate group and individual sessions, and document services. The role emphasizes recovery, ethical practice, and collaboration with referral sources.

Qualifications

• Missouri requirements: Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent.
• Must be supervised by a Qualified Addiction Professional.
• Licensure: MADC 1 and 2, CADC, CRADC.
• Adheres to ethical standards and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in screening and assessment under supervision by licensed/qualified counselors or therapists.
• Collaborate in development of individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Complete all service documentation timely and in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Attend clinical staffing meetings and contribute to treatment planning discussions.
• Facilitate group counseling, group education, family conferences, and individual counseling.
• Handle crisis situations per agency policies and notify supervisors as needed.

In this role you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment, treatment planning, and counseling efforts for clients undergoing mental health and substance use disorder treatment.Under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselors or therapists, you will assist in conducting screenings, developing treatment plans, facilitating group counseling sessions, and providing individualized support to clients. If you are dedicated to professional growth, passionate about helping others, and committed to adhering to ethical standards, we encourage you to apply for this position.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the screening and assessment process under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselors or therapists, ensuring adherence to designated time frames and standards.Collaborate in the development of treatment plans for clients, demonstrating evolution and individualization based on assessment findings and under supervision.Complete all correspondence in a timely manner, including documentation of services provided and adherence to regulatory standards.Participate in clinical staffing/team meetings, providing feedback on relevant cases and contributing to treatment planning discussions.Facilitate group counseling sessions, group education, family conferences, and individual counseling sessions, focusing on promoting recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skills.Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.Handle crisis situations as they arise, following agency policies and notifying supervisors when necessary.Demonstrate interest in the long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.Complete annual training requirements as specified in individualized training plans.Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Missouri Requirements:Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by either:The Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.; ORThe appropriate board of professional registration with the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions, and Professional RegistrationAssociate Counselors must be supervised by a Qualified Addiction Professional who has completed MCB Clinical Supervision Training.
