Job summary

Atlanta Housing in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Associate Counsel to join its in-house Office of General Counsel. The role focuses on complex litigation, regulatory matters, and housing programs, including Fair Housing, HUD regulations, Open Records Act, and Open Meetings Act.

You will manage investigations, advise on HCVP regulatory compliance, mentor attorneys and staff, and collaborate with senior leadership to support AH’s mission of providing affordable housing.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia Bar membership.
• 8+ years in litigation, fair housing, or regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex litigation and investigations involving AH and affiliates.
• Provide guidance on HUD/FHEO regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Lead Administrative Hearings, Open Records Act, Open Meetings Act, and landlord/tenant matters.
• Mentor and develop attorneys and staff.
