Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Associate Counsel to join a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support litigation matters within a fast-paced insurance environment, providing legal guidance that helps inform claims handling and case strategy.

The attorney will work closely with Claims and other internal partners to evaluate liability and damages, manage active matters, and drive effective resolution strategies. Remote US-based position.

Qualifications

• 2–6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, or personal injury.
• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Admission to the Virginia Bar required.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Ability to travel for trials, hearings, and meetings.
• Strong organizational and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to document files clearly and concisely.

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will support litigation matters within a fast-paced insurance environment, providing legal guidance that helps inform claims handling and case strategy. The attorney will work closely with Claims and other internal partners to evaluate liability and damages, manage active matters, and drive effective resolution strategies. The position requires hands-on litigation experience and the ability to navigate courtroom proceedings, discovery, and trial preparation with sound judgement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $118,900 – $186,550 annually
