Stone Legal Recruitment seeks an Associate Attorney to join a growing Maryland/DC litigation practice. This is a fully remote opportunity for a Maryland-licensed attorney, with DC admission preferred and Delaware admission a plus.

The successful candidate will work with an established team based in Fairfax, VA and Richmond, VA, receive strong mentorship, manage an active docket, handle pleadings and depositions, and enjoy a clear long-term growth path.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland Bar license required.
• DC Bar admission preferred.
• Delaware Bar admission is a plus.
• Ideally 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Insurance defense experience preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting motions and handling discovery.
• Deposition experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
• Performance-based bonus structure.
• 1,800 billable hours required with incentives beginning at 1,850 billable hours.

Responsibilities

Job description

A well-established Mid-Atlantic litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Maryland/DC litigation practice.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney licensed in Maryland, with DC admission preferred (Delaware admission is a plus). While the role is remote, the attorney will work closely with an established team based out of the firm's Fairfax, VA and Richmond, VA offices, with full administrative support and regular collaboration.

The position offers meaningful litigation responsibility, direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys, and a clear long-term growth path within one of the region's most respected litigation firms.

The practice includes a broad range of civil litigation matters, including:

• Retail Litigation
• Restaurant & Hospitality Litigation
• Sports & Entertainment Litigation
• General Liability
• Commercial & Contract Litigation

• Tort Litigation

We are moving efficiently and can typically take candidates from first conversation to decision within approximately two weeks.
