Job summary

Visa seeks a proactive product and commercial lawyer to join as Associate Counsel supporting Visa's Global Commercial & Money Movement Solutions. You will counsel on CMS product initiatives, including Visa Direct and digital asset-related programs, partnering with product, compliance, and business teams to balance risk and opportunity.

The role requires managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with collaboration across teams and external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-JD work experience (or international equivalent).
• Valid license to practice in the state where the job is located or ability to become in-house counsel in good standing.
• 3+ years of relevant post-JD work experience (or international equivalent) preferred.
• Combination of in-house and law firm experience preferred.
• Familiarity with payments, fintech, or digital assets industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise business teams on product development, deployment, and contracting considerations.
• Lead review of product-related marketing materials and external communications.
• Provide regulatory, data protection, IP, privacy, and contracting guidance to CMS product teams.
• Coordinate with regional legal and business teams to ensure consistent approaches worldwide.
• Oversee outside counsel engagement for timeliness and quality of work.
