Job summary

Visa is seeking a lawyer to join its growing Global Regulatory Affairs team. The Counsel will report to the Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs. The role is based in Atlanta, Austin, or San Francisco.

The Counsel will coordinate complex regulatory matters across the 200 countries and territories where Visa operates and will draft regulatory submissions and responses to government requests. The ideal candidate has strong judgment, analytical skills, and experience in regulatory affairs,

Qualifications

  • Requires 6+ years of relevant legal experience with a JD.
  • Bar admission in at least one US state and in good standing.
  • Admission to practice law in the United States and in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams to understand and achieve regulatory objectives.
  • Develop and execute global regulatory positions and strategies; draft regulatory submissions.
  • Support direct engagements with governments, regulators, and policymakers worldwide.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in analysis, drafting, research and communication.
  • Manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
