Job summary

Setpoint seeks an Associate Counsel in New York, NY (Hybrid, Tue/Thu) for a full-time role focused on capital markets, structured finance, and technology transactions. You will draft and negotiate SaaS and customer agreements while aligning legal strategy with commercial goals.

You’ll collaborate with the VP, Legal and Sales, monitor regulatory developments, and build scalable legal processes to support fast growth and customer trust in a complex credit ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drafting and negotiating capital markets and finance agreements.
• Fintech experience or in-house at a bank or financial institution is a plus.
• Proficiency with AI tools and adaptable to evolving technology.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with VP, Legal and Sales to oversee customer documentation and capital market tech products.
• Draft and negotiate SaaS and other customer agreements.
• Review and negotiate documentation for technology platform services and capital solutions teams.
• Keep up speed with industry trends, legal and regulatory changes.

Compensation

CompensationincludesatargetOTErangeof$175,000-$200,000consistingofbasesalaryandapartformance-basedbonus.Actualcompensationwilldependonsimilarfactors,includingthescandidate'slocation,skills,experience,andmarketconsiderations.Additionally,equityisacomponentoftheoverallcompensationpackage,providingeployeeswiththeopportunitiestoshareinthelong-termsuccessandgrowthofthecompany.
