Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Beaverton, OR is seeking an Associate Controls Engineer to support PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, electrical and instrumentation, check-out, and start-up. You will design, develop, and implement control systems, create schematics and panel layouts, and assist with start-up and documentation.

Occasional travel up to 20% is required in a diverse industrial environment. Collaborate with clients and colleagues across pharma/biotech, water/wastewater, and data center

Qualifications

• Understanding of control systems; PLC/SCADA exposure preferred.
• Understanding instrumentation and controls design; PLC/SCADA exposure preferred.
• AutoCAD experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement control systems to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
• Develop control logic and user interface applications.
• Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD.
• Assist with initial start-up and debug integrated systems and the development of system documentation.
• Work on automation and control system integration projects for pharma/biotech, water/wastewater, data centers, etc.
• Adheres to scope, quality, schedule and budget requirements of assigned tasks.
• Develops collaborative partnerships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
