Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Public Accounting Audit or Assurance, preferably with a Big Four public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Preferred: CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze complex issues, and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business.
• Experience with Oracle is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for an assigned accounting portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement results, identify key business drivers, and communicate financial performance to management.
• Ensure data consistency across subledgers, the general ledger, consolidation systems, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Determine appropriate accounting treatments under IFRS and company accounting policies.
• Research, document, and support technical accounting conclusions and accounting estimates.
• Review accounting analyses, reserves, and provisions, challenging significant fluctuations and underlying assumptions.
• Proactively identify and elevate accounting risks, control concerns, and potential reporting issues.
• Serve as the primary accounting partner to finance and operational stakeholders supporting the assigned portfolio.
• Translate business activities into accounting impacts and provide practical guidance on accounting requirements.
• Coordinate period-end accounting activities and drive alignment between accounting, finance, and operational teams.
• Ensure reconciliations are completed, supported, reviewed, and remediated in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls supporting financial reporting.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to support audits and resolve findings.
• Identify process and control improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, eliminate manual activities, and strengthen data quality.
• Support finance transformation programs, including automation, AI, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain process documentation and support knowledge sharing, training, and change management activities.
