Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks an Associate Controller for a hybrid role based in the U.S. at one of our hub locations: Foxboro, MA or Boston, MA. You will own accounting, reporting, and internal controls for key balance sheet and income statement areas within a major legal entity.

You'll partner with finance and operations, drive month-end closes, ensure data integrity, and support audits while advancing continuous improvements and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–5 years of Audit or Assurance experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing CPA.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the assigned portfolio with accurate, timely reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement results, identify key drivers, and communicate performance to management.
• Ensure data consistency across subledgers, GL, consolidation systems, and statutory reporting.
• Determine appropriate accounting treatments under IFRS and company policies; research and document conclusions.
• Review analyses, reserves, and provisions; challenge fluctuations and assumptions.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to translate activities into accounting impacts.
• Coordinate period-end activities and align accounting, finance, and operations teams.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls; support audits and resolve findings.
• Drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives, including automation and AI tools.
