Job summary

Bascom Hunter Technologies is seeking an Associate Control Systems Engineer to support modeling, development, integration, and verification of control systems for aerospace and defense applications. This role is intended for new graduates with 0–3 years of experience.

Under senior guidance you will develop dynamic models, implement and tune control algorithms, support MIL/SIL/HIL testing, and participate in system integration and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; new graduates welcome.
• Foundational understanding of dynamic systems, feedback control.
• Academic or project experience with MATLAB and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Develop dynamic models for thermal, fluid, mechanical, electrical systems.
• Translate requirements into measurable control and software requirements.
• Develop and tune control algorithms including feedback control and fault handling.
• Support control strategies for motors, compressors, fans, pumps, valves, and heaters.
• Analyze system dynamics, stability, and control authority.
• Develop test scenarios and data-analysis tools.
