Job summary

PACCAR's Embedded Engineering Team is seeking an engineer to develop powertrain, vehicle management, ADAS and autonomous control systems for PACCAR trucks. You will work within a global team including Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF, at PACCAR Technical Center in Mount Vernon, WA.

Responsibilities include architecture, requirements, design specifications, validation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and on-site/off-site support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM required.
Advanced degree or P.E. preferred.
Strong analytical and written communication skills.
Knowledge of powertrain and vehicle management systems.
Experience with autonomous truck or vehicle control software is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop control system architecture, requirements, and design specifications for PACCAR powertrain, vehicle, and autonomous control systems.
Analyze, interpret, and provide feedback on architecture, requirements, designs, and verification/validation tests.
Gather data and analyze control system performance using test equipment for verification and validation of embedded software products.
Perform troubleshooting and first-line diagnosis of issues, root-cause investigation, problem resolution and defect reporting.
Collaborate with team members, field technicians, suppliers and other personnel for on-site & off-site control system support.
Develop professional relationships through collaboration, respect, professionalism, trust and integrity.
