Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess/obsolete inventory.
• Support production scheduling and flow of incoming material; identify bottlenecks.
• Resolve material shortages by exploring substitutes, partial shipments, and expediting options.
• Learn Haworth's material planning systems and tools to plan, track inventory and generate reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Analyze supply chain data related to planning, inventory, and production to identify trends.
• Perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
• Use office automation and tools typical of Haworth office environments.
• Perform other duties within scope as assigned.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for aAssociate Commodity Planner to join our team in Holland, MI.

As an Associate Commodity Planner you will:

Manage the inbound movement of materials from suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels. Collaborate with purchasing, production, master scheduling, customer service and engineering teams to coordinate material requirements and resolve any supply chain disruptions.

Essential Functions

• Manage inventory levels for assigned parts or materials, ensuring availability to meet production demands while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Support production scheduling and end customers by managing the flow of incoming material and identifying and communicating potential bottlenecks in supply.
• Resolve material shortages by exhausting all options such as substitutes, partial shipments to avoid additional cost including break in fees and expedites.
• Learn and utilize Haworth's material planning systems and tools to plan and track inventory, generate reports, and support decision-making.
• Participate in supply chain continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
• Analyze supply chain data related to planning, inventory, and production to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
• Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or similar.
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
