Job summary

Watts Water is seeking an Associate Commodity Manager in North Andover, MA to execute sourcing strategies across our global base, drive cost optimization, and ensure quality, delivery and compliance.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Product Development on new launches and ongoing production, travel up to 25%, and report to Director, Direct Sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, or supply chain.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations (industrial/commercial).
• Experience in strategic sourcing and cost reduction.
• Experience delivering year-over-year savings in manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally.

Scope of Position

The Associate Commodity Manager is responsible for executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities across our global supply base. This role will lead cost optimization, and risk mitigation efforts while ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance standards are met. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Product Development to support new product launches and ongoing production.

This position reports to the Director, Direct Sourcing. This role is hybrid and is based in North Andover, MA.

This position has no direct reports.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction strategies aligned with company goals.
• Manage important metrics such as Supplier Quality, Service, Cost, Safety, and Integrity.
• Support in categorizing suppliers as Grow, Maintain, or Rationalize, and implementing appropriate strategies.
• Manage a Sourcing Cost Reduction Program (PPV & VAVE) project funnel.
• Maintain a supply chain roadmap, supporting transitions and continuous improvements.
• Support supplier negotiations and lead project implementation for assigned commodities.
• Develop relationships with our teams (Engineering, Product Management) and external suppliers.
• Provide escalation support for site purchasing managers and improve supplier performance through global leverage.
• Maintain a Supplier Risk Management Program, focusing on capacity, quality, and delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, or Supply Chain.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations (industrial/commercial).
• Commodity experience implementing strategic plans to deliver world class sourcing of manufactured parts.
• Experience in delivering year-over-year savings in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• International commodity sourcing experience in China, Mexico, and India, preferred.
• Experience in casting and machining, preferred.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover, MA location three days per week (Monday - Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Pay Range :

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 yearly . Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
