Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. in New York seeks a litigation associate to join our Litigation team.

This role offers the chance to work closely with shareholders on a diverse, multidisciplinary practice and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience, strong research and writing skills, and is admitted in New York (NJ bar a plus).

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience with strong research and writing.
• Deposition and case management experience, drafting complaints and motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, appearing in federal and state courts, and corresponding with opposing counsel and clients.
• Strong research and brief writing skills.
• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.
• Admitted, or on track to be admitted in New York; New Jersey bar admittance a plus.

About You

• You have 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience, including very strong research, writing and advocacy writing skills;
• You have deposition and case management experience, as well as experience with drafting complaints and motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, appearing in federal and state courts and corresponding with opposing counsel and clients;
• You have strong research and brief writing skills;
• You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials;
• And you are admitted (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in New York.
• New Jersey bar admittance, in addition to New York admittance, is a plus.

Compensation

• $240,000 - $320,000 annual base salary
