Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Brookfield, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver daily care to residents in a warm, home-like setting. The role emphasizes compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, documentation, and emotional support inside a supportive community.

The position requires a valid CNA/HHA/LNA license, with preferred prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living environment and experience with dementia care.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.
