Job summary

Hyphen Solutions, LLC is seeking an AWS-focused DevOps/Cloud Engineer to deploy, manage, and secure our AWS infrastructure across multiple environments. You will author IaC with CloudFormation or Terraform, automate tasks, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of production AWS experience, scripting skills, and a strong focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and security controls. The role emphasizes collaboration with software and security teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS infrastructure in production.
• Experience with IaC templates (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Knowledge of AWS core services: compute, storage, databases, networking, security.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, PagerDuty, etc.).
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Willingness to learn and apply security controls and IAM best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and support AWS infrastructure across environments.
• Write/maintain IaC templates (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Build and improve automation scripts to reduce manual work.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines; deploy applications and infra.
• Monitor environments; respond to performance, availability, and security issues.
• Help implement AWS security controls and IAM.
• Participate in infra projects, upgrades, and DR procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with software, security, and infra teams.
