Job summary

Turnbridge Academy Overview is seeking an Associate Clinician (Clinical Resident Liaison) to serve as the primary liaison between clients, families, and the clinical treatment team at our residential program in Connecticut. This role supports engagement, coordinates care, and promotes a positive treatment experience for adolescents aged 14 to 17.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, families, and the clinical treatment team.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and families to support engagement in treatment.
  • Coordinate communication regarding treatment updates, scheduling, family meetings, and transitions in care.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, medical providers, nursing, residential staff, and case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Address client and family concerns by coordinating with appropriate departments and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and communicate relevant information as appropriate.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with referrals, appointments, and coordination of services.
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and communicate high-risk concerns to clinical leadership.
  • Promote client satisfaction by identifying opportunities to improve communication and the treatment experience.

The Clinical Resident Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for clients and their families throughout the treatment process. Working closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team, this role promotes effective communication, coordinates care, supports treatment engagement, and helps ensure a positive client and family experience.

Help adolescents recover from mental health and substance use challenges at a residential treatment center with 18 beds, 11 for boys and 7 beds for girls, all between the ages of 14 - to 17-year-old, located on a beautiful property in Woodbury, Connecticut. .

Turnbridge is hiring an Associate clinician (Clinical Resident Liaison) - (LMSW, LMFTA or LPC-A) for this program, where your skills and care transform young people’s lives. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone that has just graduated with their Masters and that is looking to gain experience in a residential setting.

Primary job duties include:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, families, and the clinical treatment team.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and families to support engagement in treatment.
  • Coordinate communication regarding treatment updates, scheduling, family meetings, and transitions in care.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, medical providers, nursing, residential staff, and case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Address client and family concerns by coordinating with appropriate departments and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and communicate relevant information as appropriate.

  • Maintain compliance with agency policies, accreditation standards, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Attend supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Please note: Working at least one weekend day every week is a mandatory requirement of this position.

Additionally, an on-call rotation exists among several clinical team members. More information will be shared in the interview process.

Job Description:

This position is well suited for an early-career behavioral health professional interested in care coordination, family engagement, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Experience in residential treatment, case management, or client advocacy is preferred.

A typical day could include:

  • Checking in with clients throughout the week to support their treatment journey and provide insight on client needs to the rest of the care team
  • Helping clients talk through stressors
  • Calls to families to share about our work with the teen and provide parent coaching where appropriate
  • Helping new clients feel more comfortable
  • Engaging in client-to-client mediations to help peers build relationship
  • Documenting client support and interventions for data collection
