UnitedHealthcare is seeking an Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator to join our Colorado team. You will manage administrative intake of prior authorization requests, coordinate with hospitals and clinics, process referrals and authorizations, and assist with triage and document setup.

Schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm MST with telecommuting from anywhere in Colorado. Requires high school diploma, healthcare experience, and proficiency with Word and Excel; must have a dedicated home

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to secure PHI and work from a dedicated home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative intake of prior authorization requests.
• Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and the clinical team for service requests.
• Process referrals and authorizations, including intake and notifications.
• Assist with document setup for Clinical Coverage Review and triage.
• Handle inquiries from members and providers and perform other duties as assigned.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere in Colorado as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage administrative intake of members prior authorization requests
• Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
• Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
• Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents’/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
• Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of healthcare related experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word (ability to create, copy, edit, and send and save documents) and Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents)
• Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high - speed internet connection or leverage an existing high - speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior work at home experience
• 1+ years of customer service
• 4+ years ofhealthcare customer service experience
• Prior healthcare billing or prior authorization experience
• Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
• Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Experience working in a call center

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
