Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support front-desk operations at our Pharr, TX location. The role includes patient registration, appointment scheduling, cashiering, and handling calls as part of a busy office team.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The position requires strong customer service, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to manage schedules and medical records efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20-minute wait time
  • Assists patient with intake processes including copying required documents
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issues receipts
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner
  • Processes requests for medical records release and maintains logs
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

TheAssociate Patient Care Coordinatoris responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Location: 1701 S. Cage Blvd. Suite 116 Pharr, TX

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED

Experience working with E Clinical Works (ECW)

Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
