Job summary

Bank of New York Mellon is seeking an Associate, Client Service Representative I – G grade in Pune (Hybrid) to handle FX confirmations, settlements and related middle-office activities. You will resolve breaks, process settlement instructions and ensure trades settle before SLAs while collaborating with Trade Support and Sales & Trading teams.

The role requires 5–6 years of relevant experience, familiarity with FX products, and SWIFT messaging, with preferred exposure to WSS, GTSS and Harmony

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in FX Confirmation, Settlements or Middle Office.
• Basic knowledge of FX products (Spot, forward, swaps, NDF, options).
• Ability to interpret SWIFT MT messages (MT300, MT202, MT304).
• Experience with platforms such as WSS, GTSS, Harmony is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confirmations for 3rd‑party, Custody and Bank clients are matched promptly.
• Resolve mismatches, breaks and client queries.
• Process settlement instructions for trades not STP before currency cut-offs.
• Proactively chase clients/counterparties to ensure trades settle before SLA.
• Collaborate with Trade Support, Static and Sales & Trading teams.
• Monitor KRIs/KPIs to ensure accurate data for functions.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Navigate confirmation and settlement platforms used within the organization.
• Escalate issues promptly during BAU.

Responsibilities

• Confirmation matching for all 3rd‑party, Custody and Bank clients/counterparty on a timely basis.
• Understand and resolve mismatches, breaks, and queries from clients.
• Process settlement instructions for trades that do not STP before the currency cut‑offs.
• Chase clients/counterparty to ensure trades are matched and settled before the SLA.
• Collaboration with various teams such as Trade Support, Static and Sales & Trading.
• Work on KRI/KPI’s to ensure the data reflected for the functions are accurate.
• Work towards process improvements and efficiency.
• Navigate through various confirmation and settlement platforms used within the organization.
• Be swift and pro‑active in query resolution and timely escalation of any issues arising during the BAU.

Qualifications

• Working experience in any of these functions (FX Confirmation, Settlements, Static or Middle Office) for a minimum of 5–6 years.
• Basic knowledge of FX products such as FX Spot, forward, swaps, NDF and FX Options.
• Interpret and understand swift messages like MT300, MT202, MT304 etc.
• Preferred experience navigating platforms such as WSS, GTSS, and Harmony.
• Team player with a good attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to the situation.
• Timely escalation and collaboration with various internal and external teams.
• Answer inquiries and resolve problems or issues, assessing needs and suggesting or promoting alternative approaches to service models.
