Job description

ADP is hiring an Associate CIRC Analyst.

The GSO Critical Incident Response Center Converged Analyst within ADP's Global Security Organization (GSO) is responsible for monitoring multiple sources of analytical computer and physical security related information. The analyst’s role is to transform disparate data into strategic and tactical intelligence that supports timely and coordinated responses to ongoing security threats, ensuring ADP can continue to operate safely and securely.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor the cyber and fraud alert queue; triage incidents to determine if escalation is required.
  • Qualify and identify cyber/fraud alert impact and validity by engaging line‑of‑business contacts or other parts of ADP client operations.
  • Follow documented escalation processes to bring cases to the appropriate CIRC leads or CSS fraud investigators promptly.
  • Communicate critical alert status through standard tools.
  • Help develop, document, and formalize standardized global incident response processes across the ADP organization.
  • Determine key stakeholders and gather current best practices.
  • Define, build, test, and implement correlation rules to support enforcement of ADP security policies.
  • Produce metrics that support GSO’s strategic direction.
  • Determine critical support requirements to ensure stakeholders are fully supported.
  • Conduct technical analysis and assessments, including malware analysis, packet‑level analysis, and system‑level forensic analysis.
  • Maintain liaison relationships with other CIRC teams, GSO units, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide complete and detailed information to the next shift during handoff, ensuring they are fully equipped to manage incidents.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports and analyze incidents to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
To Succeed In This Role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; computer science, engineering, or information technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT/cyber security experience in a large global organization.
  • Experience in fraud auditing in a large global organization is a plus.
  • Experience in security incident activities.
  • Familiarity with eFraud and the general concepts of facilitating electronic money movement.
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with computer security forensics, security vulnerabilities, and multiple security technologies (SIEM, IDS, endpoint security, web proxy/filtering, Active Directory, PKI, Radius, RSA SecureID, log analysis).
  • SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge to generate queries.
  • Experience with text and data manipulation (XML, HTML, regex, wiki markup, SQL).
  • Conceptual knowledge of operating system internals.
  • Understanding of networking, Windows, and *nix environments, including TCP/IP and network communications.
  • Knowledge of web scripting languages and log output interpretation for Windows and Unix systems.
  • Experience producing architectural diagrams and overviews for business and technical audiences.
  • Exposure to collaborative workflow and documentation systems.
  • Packet‑level behavioral familiarity with major TCP/IP application protocols.
  • Strong shell or other programming skills and knowledge of debugger operation (IDAPRO, OllyDbg).
  • Broad knowledge of data and executable file types and extraction techniques.
  • Functional knowledge of shellcode fundamentals and business‑impacting security scenarios.
  • Experience with centralized authentication systems (LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, RADIUS) and enterprise core services (web/mail/dns/file servers, networking infrastructure).
  • Teamwork, communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills.
