ADP is hiring a Manager, Converged Security.

Position Description

The Manager of Global Crisis Management under the Global Security Organization within Converged Security Services is responsible for Incident Management and Corporate Crisis Management for local, regional, and/or global events that impact ADP. The Manager supports the Director of Global Crisis Management and serves as the primary coordinator for ADP's emergency planning, liaison with local, state and federal emergency management agencies, and Co‑Chair of the ADP Safety Governance Committee.

The position manages standards, training, action plans and reporting based on ADP's global Business Resiliency platform and ADP's duty of care to associates. The selected candidate will be assigned to a specific office (Miami, FL or Augusta, GA preferred; or another ADP office TBD). The role requires irregular work hours and up to 25% travel.

What You’ll Do
  • Crisis Management
    • Serve as the backup Corporate Crisis Manager for local, regional, or global events that impact ADP Business Units.
    • Engage the Chief Security Officer, Vice President, Converged Security Services, senior leadership, corporate communications, HR, IT, corporate real estate, and legal as needed.
    • Provide business and technical guidance to senior leadership and business unit leaders globally.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Directors of Public Safety/Crisis Management, Global Investigations and Forensics Services, and Associate Relations regarding associate health, welfare, safety and accountability during major events.
    • Collaborate with the Business Continuity Management Organization on business operations continuity.
    • Provide metrics on global Crisis Management, readiness, crisis and incident reporting, and perform gap analysis and controls assurance program reviews to minimize recurrence.
    • Manage Executive Committee security notifications regarding events with major impact on ADP.
  • Emergency Planning and Policy
    • Manage enterprise‑wide corporate crisis management policies, standards, plans and operational support platforms for all hazard events.
    • Develop and incorporate best practices, execute training standards and programs for crisis incident management and business continuity.
    • Provide worldwide support to all business units on Incident/Crisis Management planning.
  • External Liaison
    • Serve as ADP's primary liaison to governmental crisis and disaster management agencies worldwide, including FEMA, DHS, and national/local agencies.
    • Maintain contacts with incident management professional organizations and local/regional emergency response groups.
    • Facilitate provisioning of ADP's emergency responders to mobilize to crisis locations as needed.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional entities across the enterprise.
    • Provide management and supervision of the Crisis Management team’s daily operations in the absence of the Director.
    • Mentor and manage a team of indirect reports within the Crisis Management team.
    • Demonstrate time management, problem‑solving, prioritization, leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
    • Make independent decisions and act as a subject matter expert in high‑stress environments.
    • Travel domestically and internationally as required, sometimes on short notice.
    • Contribute to the operation and management of the department in recruiting, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, training, etc.
    • Provide security liaison and protection for assigned office locations and events.
    • Perform other essential roles and duties during a crisis or event as directed.
    • Travel to Emergency Operations Center or Emergency Field Operations as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; degree in emergency management, crisis management or a related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in global crisis management and business resilience/continuity operations for multi‑national corporations or federal/state emergency management.
  • Practical knowledge of crisis management techniques and best practices regarding business resiliency, continuity of operations and associate life safety.
  • Experience operating in international business or governmental environments driving global crisis management programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Outstanding ethical character and proven reliability in high‑confidence matters.
  • Relevant certifications in Crisis/Emergency Management such as FEMA Certifications (ICS, COOP, PCP, MCP, NIMS, MEPP), ITIL, ASIS/CPP, PSP, ISACA/CISM preferred.
  • Framework working knowledge required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently with remote business partners.
  • Team‑oriented self‑starter with high initiative.
  • Ability to influence others to achieve results.
  • Strong sense of accountability.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Effective business writing skills.

Compensation & Benefits
