Job summary

Cocoon is seeking an Associate Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO to scale US operations, own people & talent, and run key business functions. You will help establish the first US facilities, coordinate with our UK team, and drive critical strategic projects.

The role offers high visibility, broad ownership, and a clear growth path as we expand across the US and Europe, with travel expected 1–2 weeks per month.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in high-performance environments such as consulting, banking, or fast-growing startups.
• Structured thinker with strong execution to turn ideas into outcomes.
• Experience running multiple workstreams end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Passion for people and talent work, including hiring and performance systems.
• Proficient with AI tools and knowledge of SaaS solutions across finance, HR, sales and operations.
• Excellent communication across time zones and with a UK-based team.
• Experience taking organizations from zero to one, enabling scaling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to test ideas, develop solutions, and drive top-priority initiatives.
• Create structure and automate OKR management and reporting to improve performance.
• Own people and talent processes: hiring and performance management.
• Collaborate with UK team to become AI-native; streamline processes and operations.
• Lead US facilities setup: site selection, leases, permitting, equipment, fit-out and logistics.
• Set up US operations: office, legal/finance, insurance, grants, logistics.
