Job summary

Valley Health, a leading health system, seeks an Associate Chaplain to support clinical Chaplaincy Services. You will provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, including on-call evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to align care with patient values and beliefs.

The role requires a Master’s degree in divinity or related field; CPE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in divinity or related field preferred.
• Completion of at least one CPE unit preferred.
• Board Certification with APC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and evaluates data pertinent to patient and family needs.
• Documents data and plans of care in the medical record.
• Supports chaplains in care plans and on-call duties.
• Provides spiritual care to patients, families, and staff.
• Educates staff about chaplaincy role and ethical standards.
• Maintains professional boundaries and cultural sensitivity.
