Job summary

The Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking an Associate Category Manager to develop, implement and manage strategic category strategies within our Supply Chain team. This role focuses on delivering year-over-year value through supplier performance, cost improvements and spend analysis.

You will lead cross-functional negotiations, build supplier relationships, manage contracts, and drive supplier diversity initiatives while aligning with stakeholder objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Category Management experience or 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience.
• Strong ability to define a simple category, run spend/usage/market analysis, and develop strategy and benefit analysis.
• Proficient sourcing practitioner with data, demand & market analysis and e-Sourcing project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement key category strategies for high impact, usage and/or spend areas.
• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships for category responsibilities.
• Develop performance metrics and hold suppliers accountable for deliverables.
• Initiate, plan and execute strategic business reviews for key categories.
• Collaborate effectively, deliver timely information and provide recommendations.
• Develop stakeholder relationships to align centrally driven strategies with business objectives.
• Support and promote Vistra’s Supplier Diversity program through outreach and supplier development activities.
• Track performance within each spend category and measure value against budgets.
