Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking an Associate Category Manager to develop, implement, and manage strategic category strategies that drive year-over-year value through supplier performance and cost improvements.

The role requires leading cross-functional negotiations, managing procurement processes, and aligning supplier activities with business objectives while leveraging Vistra’s supplier diversity initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Category Management experience or 5 years of sourcing/procurement experience.
• Solid ability to define a simple category, run spend/usage/market analysis, and develop a category strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement key category strategies for high impact, usage and/or spend areas.
• Develop and maintain key supplier relationships for category responsibilities.
• Develop performance metrics and hold suppliers accountable for deliverables.
• Initiate, plan and execute strategic business reviews for key categories.
• Collaborate effectively, deliver timely information and provide recommendations.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to align centrally driven strategies with business objectives.
• Support Vistra’s Supplier Diversity program through outreach and supplier development activities.
• Track performance within each spend category and measure value against budgets.
