Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is seeking an Associate Buyer to join the Product Acquisition and Inventory Management team. The role connects suppliers, buyers, sales teams, and distribution centers to ensure orders are placed, tracked, and delivered efficiently, strengthening product availability and customer service.

This role offers opportunities to grow in purchasing, supply chain, or operations, with involvement in onboarding and training and potential for cross-functional projects

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, customer service, sales, distribution, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage purchase order activity including supplier confirmations, order tracking, ETA updates, and maintaining purchasing records.
• Investigate and resolve order issues by coordinating with suppliers, buyers, and distribution centers.
• Serve as a communication hub between suppliers, purchasing, sales, and distribution teams for updates on inventory and delivery.
• Support purchasing operations through order expediting and gathering shipping and sourcing information.
• Contribute to team success by supporting special projects, onboarding and training efforts, and providing backup across purchasing.
