Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking an Associate Buyer to support purchasing of materials under government procurement policies. The role involves reviewing requisitions, negotiating terms with suppliers, and overseeing purchase orders through to delivery in a fast-paced environment.

As part of the Enterprise Services team, you will ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and federal regulations, while maintaining relationships with qualified vendors and delivering value for client missions.

Qualifications

  • Typically has a Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Attention to details and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review requisition, solicit/evaluate bid, recommend and select supplier for award of purchase orders.
  • Negotiate price, quality, delivery and other terms and conditions.
  • Perform oversight on all awarded purchase orders until delivery/completion of goods/services.
  • Coordinate and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Recruit and maintain responsive suppliers providing high quality products and services at fair and reasonable prices.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering change orders.

The Opportunity:

This position will be in our CACI Enterprise Services , where the individual will work under close supervision to prepare and administer purchase orders for materials in accordance with client requirements, government regulations and procurement policies/procedures.

  • Typically works on purchasing activities valued up to $150,000.
  • May be assigned higher value tasks with oversight from more senior level staff.
  • Must comply with corporate policies, procedures, and underlying Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase and/or shipment of goods, materials, and services.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Typically has a Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent, and 0 to 2 years of related purchasing experience.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Attention to details and problem-solving skills.
Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
  • Experience in Costpoint and P2P systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR and GSA Schedules.
  • Advanced Excel and Word Document skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,400 - $78,200
