Job summary

Hull & Company in Tampa Bay/Clearwater, FL is seeking an Associate Broker to join our growing team. You will assist with renewal underwriting, negotiate with carriers, and support the sales process for new and renewal business.

The role requires 2–4 years in commercial multi-line insurance or a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, plus a sales-driven mindset and strong customer service. You will collaborate across teams while upholding confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Commercial Multi-Line Insurance OR a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management.
• Sales and production driven mentality; strong customer service.
• Ability to work in a production team and maintain confidentiality.

How You Will Contribute

• Assist with commercial lines renewal underwriting.
• Assist with joint marketing trips with senior underwriters.
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers.
• Discuss coverage & forms with retail customers.
• Assist the sales process on new & renewal business.
• Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Hull & Company and Brown & Brown.
• Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures.
• Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills.
• Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality.

Skills & Experience To Be Successful

• 2 – 4 years’ experience in Commercial Multi-Line Insurance OR a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management.
• Sales & Production driven mentality.
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work well with others in a production team environment.
• Committed to excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
