Job summary

Amwins in Chicago, IL is seeking an Associate Broker to support commercial insurance activities. Candidates should have 3-7 years of insurance experience, preferably with property insurance. The role requires building relationships and managing submissions efficiently.

Associate Broker – Chicago, IL

This position is non‑commission-based and does not involve cold calling.

Responsibilities

• Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes.
• Analyze new and renewal submissions and provide market selection.
• Determine coverage needs and develop proposals.
• Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies.
• Develop relationships with agency and underwriter partners.
• Receive and respond to calls or requests concerning problems, delays, or discrepancies and provide timely resolution to satisfy all parties.
• Supervise or delegate endorsement requests, signed applications, forms, underwriting information, tasks, and certificates of insurance to carriers.
• Monitor various reports for consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on team needs.

Qualifications

• 3‑7 years of commercial insurance experience.
• Property insurance experience preferred.
• Active P&C license required.
• Experience developing relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.

Compensation

Illinois Pay Range: $75,000 USD – $85,000 USD. Salary and bonus potential based on experience and performance.
