Job description


The primary function of the position is to develop and manage the planning and execution of large Retail Field Sales distribution initiatives and tradeshows that fulfill marketing strategies.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Project Lead for distribution trade shows and events and account partner able to deliver on prioritized tactics and executions specific to customers
  • Manage trade show calendar, 3rd party vendor relationships, cross-functional planning assistance, and day-of coordination
  • Work with external partners to manage rental needs and standard operating procedures for distribution trade shows and events
  • Generate project objectives, goals, and timelines, and work cross-departmentally to ensure that key milestones are met and goals are achieved
  • Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for annual event plans, including physical event design/booth layout and promotional strategies
  • Work with sales team, brand, channel, and product managers to develop integrated marketing plans (promotions, hands-on demonstrations, merchandising, etc.) to attract, educate, and excite target audiences at each event
  • Work with brand team to develop messaging strategies for macro business awareness, down to micro event-specific new product details
  • Develop and manage plans within approved budget levels, in highly fluid situations.
  • Develop working knowledge of tradeshow planning process to split workload and management responsibilities as needed

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Requires a bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 4 years experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within hardware/home center or industrial distribution channels
  • Must possess strong analytical, computer, communications and presentational skills
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of time
