Key Responsibilities

Relying on limited experience and knowledge, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.

• Monitor and respond to claim litigation for specified types of bonds in designated territories from initial receipt to resolution.
• Correspond and communicate with counsel, bond principals, claimants, and others regarding lawsuits, claims, and indemnity issues.
• Maintain professional demeanor and discretion with clients.
• Review legal documents, including legal pleadings, discovery, court notices and correspondence pertaining to the claim litigation.
• Prepare and draft moderate correspondence to affected parties using mail, fax, or other electronic means.
• Attend court hearings including mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Maintain claim files - both physical and electronic.

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

Minimum 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.

• 2 Years Relevant and progressive professional experience
• Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

For candidates working in person in Los Angeles, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $28.46 to $42.72 per hour.
