Job summary

Ser- is seeking an Associate AV Project Manager in Harrison, NY to support the delivery of high-end residential AV, home automation and low-voltage integration projects, coordinating day-to-day activities while developing toward independently managing your own projects.

You’ll coordinate with internal teams, clients and trades including general contractors, electricians and interior designers; review plans, proposals, scopes, schedules and specifications; maintain documentation and equipment

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience reading architectural/electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with residential control and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers on AV and low-voltage projects, scaling to manage smaller projects.
• Act as liaison among clients, architects, designers, electricians and other trades.
• Review plans, scopes, schedules and specifications; maintain docs and equipment lists.
• Produce meeting recaps, RFIs, status reports, punch lists and communications.
• Track milestones, submittals, and lead times; attend sites to verify field conditions.

Associate AV Project Manager

Harrison, NY
$70,000 – $90,000 DOE

The Role

You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-end residential AV, home automation and low-voltage integration projects, coordinating day-to-day project activities while developing towards independently managing your own projects.

Duties

• Supporting Project Managers on complex audio visual and low-voltage integration projects, while independently managing smaller projects as your experience grows.
• Acting as a point of contact between internal teams, clients and other trades including general contractors, electricians and interior designers.
• Reviewing project plans, proposals, scopes, schedules and specifications.
• Maintaining project documentation, equipment lists and specification books.
• Producing clear meeting recaps, RFIs, status reports, punch lists and project communications.
• Tracking open items, approvals, submittals, equipment, lead times and project milestones.
• Attending job sites to ensure field conditions align with drawings and project requirements.
• Producing progress reports following site visits and new project surveys.
• Identifying potential issues before they impact project schedules, costs or quality.
• Coordinating daily workloads for field technicians and briefing teams before deployment.
• Reviewing end-of-day technician updates and planning upcoming works accordingly.
• Drafting change orders for Project Manager review.
• Producing rack sketches and simple architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Marking up and updating drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintaining accurate project information within the company's project management system.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years' experience within AV, audio, video, lighting, low‑voltage installation, construction or a related project coordination role.
• Ability to read architectural and electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with residential control and automation systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Savant or Control4.
• Strong interest in AV, home automation and emerging technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident communicating with clients, architects, designers, builders, electricians and vendors.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and open project items.
• AutoCAD drafting experience. (Preferred)
• Mid-to-advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
