  • Interpret inquiries, present options, collect documentation, and send correspondence.
  • Assist with inbound queue calls and reassign complex claims to senior adjusters.

HIRING NOW - ASSOCIATE AUTO ADJUSTER I

A nationally industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance company that's been honored as One of America's Top Employers (Forbes) and a Best Place to Work (Business Insurance) is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our Level One Auto Claims team as an Associate Auto Adjuster.

In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you will provide critical support to policyholders following unexpected events by assisting with investigating, evaluating, and help settling non-complex personal auto policy claims.

This role offers a structured pathway to career development with robust training, personalized coaching, and ongoing mentorship to set you up for long-term success.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday

  • Training Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (In-office presence may be required during the initial training period)
  • Post-Training Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Location: Hybrid 2–3 days in office.

Candidates must reside in commuting distance to one of the following locations:

  • Worcester, MA
  • Howell, MI
  • Syracuse, NY
  • Itasca, IL
  • Richmond, VA
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform claim processing and payment functions on non-complex personal auto claims across multiple states. Review electronic files for completeness and gather missing documentation following established procedures.
  • Conduct outbound calls in a polite, professional, and empathetic manner. Match customer needs with company services and deliver service that meets or exceeds satisfaction metrics.
  • Manage appraisal, rental, and vendor processes using established guidelines. Confirm claim resolution, set up predetermined reserves, and verify final payment amounts.
  • Apply core communication skills to interpret inquiries, present options, collect documentation/bills, and send necessary correspondence.
  • Assist with inbound queue calls to provide claim assistance and identify/reassign complex claims (e.g., liability, bodily injury, or coverage issues) to senior adjusters.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate degree or currently working towards an Associate degree is strongly preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, finance, or the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in toggling between multiple computer applications, using dual screens, and working with MS Office products (Word, Excel). Ability to adapt quickly to core claims systems and vendor platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates high emotional intelligence, active listening, patience, and empathy when handling customer calls.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and make informed, confident decisions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in an agile environment.
