Associate Attorney/Senior Law Student

Full Time position available

Markesbery & Richardson, Co., LPA, a regional law firm engaged in civil practice with emphasis on insurance defense, insurance coverage, construction litigation and personal injury is seeking a full time attorney with minimal experience; third year law students and law school graduates waiting bar exam results are also encouraged to apply.

We request that candidates have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to collaborate with and have experience meeting goals effectively while minimizing legal risk. Responsibilities include assisting senior attorneys with their case load by working with clients, review and analysis of records and written discovery, prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and assist with negotiating settlements, working closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation and to ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes.

Firm will require licensure in Kentucky and Ohio as firm covers territory throughout both states.
