Job Description

Location: Remote – Candidates must reside in Ohio and be able to attend in person for court proceedings.

We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Ohio practice. The role involves handling a broad range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation. Communication with our main office in New York will be exclusively via telephone and electronic means (email, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

• Manage and supervise a diverse caseload of clients in Ohio.
• Communicate with clients regarding their cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements.
• Negotiate and communicate with opposing parties to resolve claims.
• Conduct legal research on contract law and other consumer law issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to handle a heavy workload.
• Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio; multi-state admission is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
• Proficiency in legal research tools like LexisNexis is advantageous.
