We Are Legal Revolution in San Francisco is seeking a mid level Patent Prosecution Associate to join our hybrid office.

You will draft and prosecute US and international patent applications covering electrical, computer and software technologies, with direct access to sophisticated portfolios and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm
• Strong drafting and prosecution experience on electrical, computer or software technologies
• USPTO registration and California Bar admission required

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute US and international patent applications covering complex electrical, computer and software related technologies
• Manage substantive prosecution strategy, including office action responses, claim amendments and interactions with patent examiners
• Collaborate on technology, patentability and freedom to operate analyses for sophisticated corporate and technology clients
• Support portfolio management, including inventor interviews, claim charting and coordination with foreign counsel
• Work closely with partners while taking meaningful responsibility for matters and client communications

We Are Legal Revolution is working discreetly with a national full service firm with Chambers ranked practices and a strong Am Law style platform seeking a mid level Patent Prosecution Associate to join its San Francisco office on a hybrid basis.

This role offers direct access to sophisticated patent portfolios for major technology and life sciences clients, with substantive ownership of drafting and prosecution work from day one. Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a mid level Patent Prosecution Associate with:

• 3 plus years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm environment
• Substantial patent drafting and prosecution experience, ideally on complex electrical, computer or software technologies
• USPTO registration and a JD with active California Bar admission
• A technical degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, physics or mathematics
• Strong academics from a law school ranked up to approximately top 50, with experience weighed heavily
• $140,000 to $260,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Performance based bonus opportunity
• Approximately 1,900 billable hour expectation for lateral associates
• Hybrid working arrangement with 4 days per week in office
