Job description

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Little Rock, Arkansas, office as part of a regional litigation team. The successful candidate will handle civil litigation matters with emphasis on financial services disputes, debtor‑creditor and collection actions, and bankruptcy proceedings, managing cases with a combination of independence and collaboration under partner supervision.

Duties
  • Conduct detailed legal research to inform case strategy and support motion practice
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda in civil litigation and bankruptcy matters
  • Develop litigation strategies and participate in hearings, status conferences, and client meetings
  • Manage all aspects of case progression, including drafting responses, coordinating document production, and preparing for trials or hearings
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status, strategy, and next steps
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues across offices to leverage firm resources and expertise
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute‑resolution processes
  • Maintain organized file management, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and firm procedures
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Admission to the Arkansas Bar (or eligibility to gain admission within one year of hire)
