Established (10+ Years) IP & Complex Litigation Firm Seeking an IP (Patent) Litigation Associate in Salt Lake City, UT; Park City, UT; or Irvine, CA

Overview

A well-established IP and complex litigation firm with over a decade of success is seeking an IP Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT; Park City, UT; or Irvine, CA. This role focuses on patent litigation.

Offer

• Salary range: $130,000 - $200,000+, depending on experience and location

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of IP (patent) litigation experience
• Active Bar membership in Utah or California (or ability to waive in)
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Strong academic credentials
• Background in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical field preferred

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in patent and trademark litigation matters in federal courts and before the USPTO
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda for complex IP cases
• Manage discovery, conduct legal research, and prepare for depositions and hearings
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment
• Support enforcement and defense of IP rights across various technologies
