Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Immigration law experience preferred, particularly removal defense; newly licensed attorneys encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters from consultation through resolution.
  • Develop legal strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Handle immigration matters including removal defense, family-based immigration, and proceedings before USCIS and EOIR.
  • Draft motions, briefs, responses to RFEs, and notices of intent to deny, and other filings.
  • Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, and other proceedings.
  • Represent clients before immigration agencies and courts as appropriate.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in immigration law.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and client relations professionals.
  • Maintain organized case files and detailed case notes in the firm’s case management system.
  • Provide clients with clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and dedicated advocacy.
  • Mentor and support less-experienced team members when appropriate.

What You'll Do

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Excellent organizational and case-management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Immigration law experience is preferred, particularly in removal defense; however, newly licensed attorneys with a demonstrated interest in immigration law are encouraged to apply.
  • Compensation and level of responsibility will be based on experience.
