Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 international litigation firm seeking a General Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office.

This role offers direct access to sophisticated commercial disputes for major corporate and financial institutions, with meaningful responsibility from the outset and close partner collaboration. The Role

• Handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation for major corporates, financial institutions and other sophisticated clients
• Take substantive responsibility for case strategy, day to day case management and cross office coordination
• Draft and refine pleadings, motions, briefs, and key memoranda for high stakes matters
• Support and, as appropriate, conduct discovery, depositions, witness preparation and court or arbitration appearances
• Work closely with partners across practice groups, gaining client contact and contributing to business development initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a General Commercial Litigation Associate with:

• Experience handling commercial litigation matters at an Am Law or comparably sophisticated litigation practice
• Outstanding analytical, writing and communication skills, with a focus on complex motion and brief drafting
• Current bar admission in good standing, with California admission or willingness to obtain it
• Strong academic credentials from a law school ranked in the top 50 or comparable academic record
• Demonstrated commitment to client service, collaboration, integrity and taking ownership of matters in an office based environment
• $225,000 to $435,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications
