Job summary

Watts & Associates is seeking a mid level Private Investment Funds Managing Associate to join its Los Angeles, CA office. You will lead sponsor and investor-side fund formation matters and draft core fund documents for sophisticated sponsors and institutional investors.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of private funds experience, California bar eligibility, and a strong track record drafting LPAs, PPMs, and subscription agreements. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead sponsor side and investor side private fund formation matters across a varied and sophisticated deal pipeline.
• Draft and negotiate limited partnership agreements, private placement memoranda and subscription documentation.
• Prepare and refine side letters and advisory committee governance documents for institutional investors.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, secondary transactions, co-investment structures and capital deployment issues.
• Work closely with partners and the emerging companies and venture capital platform to serve shared clients.

This funds platform offers direct access to sophisticated sponsor and institutional investor work, with meaningful responsibility on complex formations and related transactions. You will work closely with hands on partners in a collaborative, sector focused team that creates a credible platform for long term advancement within a well established international firm.
