Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a disciplined and motivated Associate Attorney to join the Foreclosure Department in Chesapeake, VA. You will manage a sophisticated caseload while gaining mentorship from senior counsel in a collegial environment.

Required: active Maryland Bar; VA bar desirable; 1–5 years in real estate/foreclosure; JD from an ABA-accredited school. Salary and benefits are competitive; legal research and strong writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Active Maryland State Bar membership is required; Virginia Bar admission is highly desirable.
• 1–5 years in real estate, foreclosure, or creditors' rights law preferred.
• New graduates sitting for Maryland and/or Virginia Bar in July 2026 may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of Maryland foreclosure matters, including title curative and possessory actions.
• Perform legal reviews of loan instruments and financial documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Represent clients in court conferences, mediations, and motion practice.
• Provide legal analysis and strategy recommendations to clients.
• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, and correspondence related to foreclosure processes.
• Maintain internal case management systems with precise documentation.
