Job summary

COA Network Inc in Moses Lake seeks an experienced family law attorney to manage a full caseload from initial consultation through resolution and trial. You will handle divorce and related matters independently, meeting clients to evaluate issues, develop strategies, and provide ongoing counsel.

Drafting pleadings, conducting research, and representing clients in hearings and trials are essential. Collaboration with staff supports a high-volume practice while maintaining excellent client service.

Qualifications

  • Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar, or ability to obtain admission promptly.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Family Law experience; 3–7 years preferred.
  • Strong experience handling divorce and other family law matters, including hearings and trials.
  • Ability to independently manage a family law caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a significant caseload.
  • Attorneys with more than 7 years of experience are welcome if they have strong, recent Family Law experience and can manage cases independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of family law matters from initial consultation through resolution and trial.
  • Handle divorce and other family law matters independently, with the ability to hit the ground running and manage an existing caseload.
  • Meet with clients to evaluate legal issues, develop case strategies, and provide ongoing legal counsel.
  • Draft and review pleadings, petitions, motions, declarations, settlement agreements, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
  • Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
  • Handle depositions and other litigation-related proceedings.
  • Prepare cases for trial and serve as lead or supporting counsel during trial.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and achieve favorable client outcomes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
