Qualifications

• Active license to practice in Washington State with clean disciplinary record.
• JD or LLM from ABA-accredited law school.
• Experience representing clients in mediation is required.
• Trial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities effectively.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in practice development and client service.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters, including mediation and dispute resolution.
• Advise and counsel clients through complex and sensitive legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on family law and litigation matters.
• Draft motions, memoranda, briefs, correspondence, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery, including electronically stored information and traditional document production.
• Prepare cases for mediation, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Perform legal due diligence and case strategy development.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service.
• Participate in business development activities, consultations, and client retention efforts.
• Engage with the local legal community through bar associations and professional organizations.
