Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years in environmental law focusing on permitting and compliance.
  • Experience before NJDEP, EPA, and/or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies such as NJDEP, EPA, and USACE.
  • Counsel clients on site remediation and brownfield redevelopment.
  • Provide guidance on land use and NJDEP permitting and compliance requirements.
  • Support transactional matters with environmental due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Assist with or lead environmental litigation and enforcement matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop practical solutions.

Duties
  • Advise clients on environmental permitting and regulatory compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies such as NJDEP, EPA, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

  • Provide guidance on land use and NJDEP permitting and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Litigation experience in environmental matters is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the Office of the Attorney General and/or judicial clerkship preferred.
