Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an Associate Attorney for its Environmental Group in Princeton, NJ. The role involves advising clients on environmental permitting, compliance, and transactional matters, and handling complex regulatory issues across industries.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, active NJ Bar admission (NY bar a plus), and 6+ years of environmental law experience with a strong background in permitting and remediation. Excellent research and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the New Jersey Bar; NY Bar a plus.
Minimum 6+ years in environmental law focusing on permitting and compliance.
Experience before NJDEP, EPA, and/or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Strong research, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on environmental permitting and regulatory compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
Represent clients before regulatory agencies such as NJDEP, EPA, and USACE.
Counsel clients on site remediation and brownfield redevelopment.
Provide guidance on land use and NJDEP permitting and compliance requirements.
Support transactional matters with environmental due diligence and risk assessment.
Assist with or lead environmental litigation and enforcement matters.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop practical solutions.
